About Calvary
An independent Baptist church on the Gulf Coast.
Calvary Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church and is fundamental in doctrine, Biblical in our worldview, conservative in our attitude, traditional in our worship, and Christlike in our manner.
What that means
Four things that shape everything else.
Plenty of churches use words like these. Here is what each one actually means for what you will find on a Sunday morning at 75 Pine Street.

Self-Governing
Calvary Baptist Church, as being independent, is completely self-governing and free from the control of any denominational headquarters.
Fundamental In Doctrine
We believe in the inspiration of the Bible, the deity of Jesus Christ, the virgin birth of Christ, the blood atonement of Christ on the cross for the sins of the whole world, the bodily resurrection of Jesus from the grave, and the imminent second coming of Christ.
Bible-Centered
The Word of God is “God breathed” and inspired by God, making every word completely true and trustworthy. The Bible is to be preached, taught, believed, loved, and obeyed. The Truth of the Word of God is to be the foundation for our lives.
Missions Minded
The command of the Lord Jesus Christ to the church is to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. It is our duty and privilege to send forth missionaries to the regions beyond.
“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
John 4:24
